PPF Directory

The PPF directory (annuaire) is the address book of the French e-invoicing reform. It maps an identifier to the platform that serves it, and it is how a supplier's invoice finds you. Every identifier you want invoices addressed to has to exist here as a line.

The four kinds of identifier

SIRET	INSEE	One establishment of that entity, 14 digits. Use it to route invoices to a specific site.
Code Routage	You define it	A routing code attached to a SIRET — a department, a cost centre, a shared-service inbox.
Suffixe	Your company configuration	A free suffix on the SIREN, used when you want a second address without an establishment.

The FULL IDENTIFIER column shows the value the network actually carries. It is built by joining the parts: the SIREN alone, SIREN_SIRET, SIREN_SIRET_routingcode, or SIREN_suffix. That joined value is also what appears in the Business Identifier list when you register a Peppol participant, so a line here is the prerequisite for a registration there.

Adding a line

Add New Identifier accepts an establishment SIRET or a Code Routage. The SIREN line and a suffix are not created here — the SIREN comes with the company, and a suffix belongs to the company configuration.

For a SIRET: exactly 14 digits, and it cannot be the SIRET the company was created with, since that one is already the base line. A Label is optional and is only shown in Docnova — the establishment's official name comes from INSEE and is never sent to the PPF.

For a Code Routage: pick the SIRET it belongs to, then give the code itself. It may contain letters, digits, - and _, up to 100 characters, and it has no accents. Here the Label (Nom) is required, because the PPF publishes it alongside the code so that a supplier can tell your routing codes apart.

Duplicates are refused: the same SIRET, or the same routing code on the same SIRET, cannot be declared twice.

Status and activation date

A new line is not usable the moment you save it.

The ACTIVATION DATE is the day the line starts being valid, and it is the day after the declaration — the PPF accepts a start date of tomorrow, Paris time, not today. A line declared this afternoon therefore becomes usable tomorrow, and until then it is normal for it to sit outside Active.

Only an Active line can be selected as a Business Identifier. If a registration is waiting on a line you just created, wait for the activation date rather than declaring the identifier again.

Editing and removing

The row actions let you rename a line and remove it. Renaming a Code Routage still requires a label — you cannot clear it.

Removing a line submits an offboard to the PPF; the row stays in Pending deletion until the PPF confirms, so it does not vanish immediately.

The base line — the SIREN or SIRET the company was created with — cannot be removed. Removing that address means the company itself leaves the platform, which is the Delete Company action in Company Settings, not a directory change.

When you need more than one line

One line is enough for a company that receives everything at one address. Add lines when:

• invoices for different sites must be separated, which is what an establishment SIRET is for;
• one site has several receiving flows — accounts payable, a subsidiary brand, a project — which is what a Code Routage is for;
• you want a second address for the entity without naming an establishment, which is what a Suffixe is for.

Every extra line is also a possible Peppol registration, so the directory and the Register e-Invoice screen are read together: the directory says which addresses exist, the registration says which one is live on the network.
